General High School Diploma + Child Care Career Pathways Certificate
The JMHS General High School Diploma plus Child Care Career Pathways Certificate track offers our standard accredited high school education combined with introductory courses in early childhood education. You’ll have two credit hours of high school-level study that will prepare you to meet the requirements necessary to earn your Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential™ for working with preschoolers, infants and toddlers, or family child care. Your studies will include teaching foundations, child behavior, observation and assessment, classrooms and schedules, curriculum planning, team teaching, working with families, and diversity. In the same amount of class time required to earn a general high school diploma, you’ll earn your high school diploma in addition to a Career Pathways Certificate in Child Care.
